Was working with Brian. I get to the step identified below in Select File
type, and the window will allow me to highlight a file type. When I hit
next, it doesn't do anything, give any error message, or open a browse
window; it just hits a dead end. Brian had suggested reinstalling some
iporter/exporter feature but I cannot find out how to do that. I've repaired
and re-installed the complete Outlook 2003 as part of Office standard edition
2003, but still no luck.

Import text data
Do the following to import data from a text file:

On the File menu, click Import and Export.
Under Choose an action to perform, select Import from another program or
file, and then click Next.
Under Select file type to import from, select the file type that matches
your data, and then click Next.
In File to import, type the path and file name of the file that you want to
import, or click Browse to navigate to the file, and then click Next.
Under Select destination folder, select the folder that you want to import
to, and then click Next.
Check that the destination folder is correct, and then click Finish.

If there are no file types in the list - you won't be able to proceed. If no
file type is selected - you won't be able to proceed.

To install the Outlook Import/Export filters - run MS Office (Outlook)
setup - Add/Remove Features - Look for the section under Outlook related to
import export and ensure that the appropriate items are selected and
complete the setup process. Nothing else will get affected by doing this.
Doing a detect & repair will not fix anything if the items in question
weren't there in the original installation.

I'll try the action steps you mentioned.

BTW- There are file types in the list, and when I scroll/tab onto them they
will highlight in blue. Its just that when I hit next, nothing happens.

Thx

Karl. It worked. Thank you so much.
