Still having problems, On some sites, the ads that are made of gifs or flash
and are linked to other servers do not show, instead an X is shown. I heard
that if I had spyware program installed and then installed sp2 this could
have happened and I am not the only one.

Hi bejamshi :-)

Yes, removal of spyware can sometimes cause problems with SP2. Try the
following and see if it helps:

Download, install and run WINSOCKXPFIX available at:
http://www.spychecker.com/program/winsockxpfix.html
and
WinsockXP Fix- WinXP
http://www.spychecker.com/program/winsockxpfix.html
Also, with instructions, at
http://www.iup.edu/house/resnet/winfix.shtm
also
From LavaSoft- all versions of Windows-
http://digital-solutions.co.uk/lavasoft/whndnfix.zip
also ....
(NOTE: It is reported that in XP SP2, the command netsh winsock reset
will fix this problem without the need for these programs.)

or ........

Winsock Fix Utility

If these steps do not resolve your problem, please post back to this thread
with the details and any error messages.

Hope this helps
