I am running Outlook 2000 , on win 2k pro workstation, hooked to exchange 2k
sp4 server.
When one of my clients goes to his inbox to send a new email.. and selects
the "TO" button .. and trys to select outlook contacts... an error comes
up and outlook closes immediately.
It says an error log is being created and the application must close.

He can go to contacts and all his contacts are in there. And he can click
and drag a contact to the inbox and a new email pops up for him to send to
that particular contact ... but he can't get to the contacts from a new
blank email message.....

I have tried these two suggestions......

I have tried going in and removing the Address book service in that profile
and closing outlook and then re-adding it.. That did not work.
I then tried setting up a new profile and it didn't work either....

Does anyone else have any ideas?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Please continue in the original thread. Don't repost when there's already a

did you try a new profile?

PS - why are you posting to so many groups? Is there a reason you believe
the problem involves interopity, addins or custom forms?

Yes I tried a new profile... didn't work

I was hoping someone might see the subject that knew a possibility... that
wasn't looking at this particular newsgroup

grasping at straws I guess....
