Still getting warnings about Comet systems

I'm still getting warnings about Comet systems trying to install a toolbar in
IE, almost every time I reboot. Of course I allow MAS to remove the threat,
but it usually reappers at next boot.

Add/Remove Programs has no entry for Comet; Ad-Aware, McAffe, and MAS
iteself do not find it during a full scan.

I've seen other questions about this same problem, but no definitive answers.

Also, a feature request: it would be nice if the cleaner.log included a bit
more info about where the threat was detected - a registry entry (which
one?), a running process (which one?) - so I'd have some clue as to where to
chase this problem.

Thanks

Restart in safe mode and fun a full system scan, on the Open Microsoft
AntiSpyware, on the scan page, choose scan options > full system scan (check
the boxes below) > click run scan now.

Restart in safe mode instructions:

Are you getting this warning only when loging into an account other than the
administrator account that installed MSAS?

If so, then this is to be expected since the current release is only a
single-user application, as was Giant AntiSpyware, which MS acquired when
they bought out Giant Company.

Interesting. An Administrator (my wife) installed MSAS; she doesn't see these
warnings but I (also an Admin) do.

I did attempt an MSAS scan in safe mode (again, on my account) but nothing
was reported. I continue to get the warning about half the time I log in.
