Mike

I've had this same issue in all versions of the beta.
Microsoft Anti Spy installs fine but when you try to
launch the application you get a error report screen
saying that antispymain.exe has encountered a problem
cannot continue (no error code). I've sent in the error
report numerous times but would like to figure out what
is causing this problem.

I'm running this on a new install of XP (sp2, all
updates), athlon 3400, 1 gig ram, zone alarm pro
firewall, norton anti virus.

What would cause the main application file to crash like
this?

Thanks

Have tou tried run MSAS in Safe mode (F8 during bootup)? Is it working in
Safe mode? If yes, then try to do a full system scan (select "Run a full
system scan" under Scan options) in Safe mode.

You can also check the errors.log located in the MSAS folder (if this file
is very large it may cause the problem - delete it in such case and try run
MSAS again).

Also - take a look at Administrator tools-> Event viewer-> Application and
System logs - are there any errors here related to system or MSAS problems?
