Still Capture Program Please!

I have tried all kinds of capture programs that I looked up on Goggle search
engine to copy still pictures from my pc's dvd player,None worked for me I
always end up with a blank black screen as a bitmap.Are there any DVD
Capture programs that do work and are free software. Thanks In Advance

===== you might try "Smartision Screencopy" ,from..
http://smartision-sc.sourceforge.net/ , it works for me,but I guess it
kinda depends on which DVD player you are using.(I use Media Player
Classic), both of these are free ==

are u sure your DVD player software doesn't offer capture?
