still cant get no sound

i have capture a video from my camcorder using movie maker 2 while capturing it there is sound but when i come to play it back there is no sound,i am not running any thrid party filters i have also try another software and that does the same can anyone help me to solve this problem i would really like to send my video to my mother-inlaw
 
Can you give more details on what sort of camcorder it is and the connection
you are using to the pc.
