Sometimes remnants of Norton are left behind which require removal with their special tool: http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039 If you get an error message when you try to use Windows Mail, please right-click on it, copy, then paste it into a reply here.

Click to expand... After running the utility Gary gave a link to, remove your email account, close the mail program, then reopen the mail program and re-enter the account.
