I cannot view a PDF file because when I open one, it goes to my
Notepad and it's not readable. Long time ago I was able to open PDF
files but I don't know what happened.

I tried right-clicking on the PDF file but I don't have an "open with"
option. I went to control panel, folder options, then file types but
did not see a PDF extension. I tried deleting and reinstalling
different versions of Acrobat but that also failed to correct the
problem.

Is there any hope of opening PDF files from my computer? Please help.
Thank you.

Read the adobe reader help pages, look at the section about opening pdf
files from web sites. It shows that you have a choice of opening with adobe
or your text program.
I got here via adove reader-- help--search--"open with"
