I work over Citrix and Remote Desktop to a simple XP development machine at
my client's site. I'm having stifling delays when I develop new forms in my
Access Front End...
.. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 minutes to switch between form view and
design view on a form. It's unpredictable...
... It's not Citrix -- Screen changes pop when I switch to, say,
Email.
... It's not Remote Desktop -- see above.
... I moved the frontend db I'm using (my sandbox) to my desktop to
eliminate the remote system's network (though the backend is still on a
network file server)
... It seems to clear up temporarily when I force a reboot or do a
compact/repair on the front end. Comes back unpredictably.
... Does not seem to matter the complexity of the form or the number
of records in its record source.
