media player will not give sound through both speakers,
this goes for headphones also, have already replaced

First, check if your speakers are hooked up together
properly and plugged in the right hole.
Second, rightclick the sound icon (bottom righthand
corner of monitor) and click "Open Volume Control". Now
check the balance sliders are in the center and no mute
buttons are checked.
Third, rightclick the sound icon again, and click "Adjust
Audio Properties", under Speaker Settings click the
Advanced button. Now check Speaker Setup to make sure
that it is set at Desktop Stereo Speakers, click Apply >
OK
If none of these actions work, suggest you do some
troubleshooting in Sound Properties, for you may have a
defective Sound Card.
