Steam wants to download all my games again!

Just got back from uni, and found Steam had this new code thing they had emailed to me.

So I put it in, the thing started up but now none of my games are recognised as downloaded and it makes me install the game again instead of being able to play it!

The games are all fully downloaded and in the steamapps folder, but it doesn't see them or something!

Very annoying.
 
Cheers, VR I followed that support stuff and its working again.

I had to remove steamapps from the steam folder, reinstall steam, put it back and then 'verify local game files'.

Now its lovely jubbly.
