I got command and conquer 3: tiberian wars for less than £4, pretty impressed with it. This steam sale has cost me around £50 so far though cant help spending the odd £4 here n there, soon add up ^^
Bought Red Alert 3 for my dad for a few quid this morning - bargain . We were just about to head off to the shops to buy it, so the timing couldn't have been better!
Cost £7.05 with DLC's Jimmy's Vendetta and a couple of Hot Rods to outrun police, apparently
In another thread I mentioned I bought the Quake pack and it's worth mentioning that of the eight games I bought for around £5.50 three of them won't work in either Win 7 or Win XP and Steam won't play the games in compatibility mode.
The ones that don't work are all expansion packs: Quake 2 Day Of Reckoning; Quake 1 Scourge Of Armagon and Quake 1 Dissolution Of Eternity.
But all the rest play perfectly so still worth the money albeit a little disappointing. These work: Quake 1; Quake 2; Quake 2 Ground Zero Expansion Pack; Quake III Arena and Quake III Team Arena.
I do actually have the original Quake 1 expansion packs and Scourge Of Armagon works in Win 98 but Quake 1 Dissolution Of Eternity does not work in Win 98. I'd have a guess the version of Direct X I have installed in Win 98 (7) is too recent for it.
