Hello.
Several of my users are suffering from an issue whereby:
- They are sent a spreadsheet as an attachment
- They try to open said spreadsheet, and Excel throws and
error at them to the effect of "STDOLE2.TLB is missing or
damaged. Please rerun Office setup."
- This message occurs several times before going away, and
the sheet opens, however no changes can be saved to it.
The users are on Windows 2000 with Office XP installed.
HOWEVER, I did discover on one that both Office 2000 AND
Office XP were installed, presumably a "bad" install
during a recent upgrade/migration project.
I uninstalled both instances of Office, then reinstalled
OfficeXP. Logging in as an administrator, it worked just
fine. However, logging in once again as the user, error
returns.
This has REALLY stumped me, and I could use some help
please!
Thanks!
