Ihave recently purchased some estimating software and was told i needed Microsoft Office for it run, having installed both successfully i tried to open the estimating software to find a window with "stdole.32tlb" in it having pressed "OK","configuring Office 2007"appears and i go into a loop.

The tech department that i purchased the software from have tried to remedy the problem but to no avail . they seem to think it is a problem with "vistas" any advice on how to solve this problem would be much appreciated thanks. As my user name suggests i have only had a computer for 3 months so simple terms please.

Very little on this problem on the net. I'd try reinstalling office and make sure you use an administrator account.

thanks for the reply Techy Ihave enterd the code in" indexed locations" on my computer and the following came up "adobe reader could not open " stdole tlb"because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example , it was sent as an email attachment and wasnt correctly decoded)
