Have been trying to install IIS om my XP pro workstation through the
add/remove programs in control panel, windows items but keep being asked to
install staxmem.dll from the XP Pro SP 2 cd.Have tried the three fixes on
Microsoft Doc 894351 inc running esentutl, re-creating the local group policy
file and slip streaming the original windows xp pro cd with the sp 2 files
with no luck.
Looking for help and guidance

I am having the same problem, and I tried the support page you listed below.
When I tried to run 'Method 2' I received an error in the cmd prompt on step
6. 'xpsp2' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable
program or batch file. I have followed the steps exactly. Is there
something else I need to fix?
Thanks,
Stephani

The service pack installer file is named Xpsp2.exe.

Did you Change Directory (cd) to you CD or DVD DRIVE before typing: xpsp2
/integrate:Drive:\winxp ?? I.e. By typing d: or e: whatever the CD or
DVD DRIVE letter is.

See this for better instructions on
Slipstreaming Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (SP2)
http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/windowsxp_sp2_slipstream.asp

Slipstreaming is to integrate files from a hotfix or service pack into the
original installation media.
