Does anyone know the current status of O'Basic? According to the website it
was released as open source although I haven't been able to find any way to
obtain the source. Would that cause it to revert to freeware?

Open source doesn't necessarily mean freeware, although most open source
software is free to use.

Hi, Ceg. I have no answer to your question, but I am interested too.
I would invest a lot more interest in O'Basic if I knew it was open
source. It would be an interesting alternative or complement to rapidq.

If it was written in a good language/platform it could even be of help
in writing a new rapidq compatible compiler.

Came back from my summer house today, and I have not followed acf for 12
days, so I reply to a followup to your message.

Reading the web page, I'm not so sure he really knew what he wanted to do
with the program. He states "open source", but I can't find it nor him. He
offers a packet with several files which unlocks the shareware bonds and
makes it totally usable. Personally, I think it's a great little program.
A combination of O'Basic, RapidQ and ScriptBasic is tough to beat.
