Why some network adapter show "Packet" , some show "Bytes" in status?
While I receive packet, the status can update the receive packet number.
But the tray icon can not blink receive side.
It can just blink transmit side.
What's wrong with the Windows 2k?
Or it's my driver problem?

Bytes versus packets is controlled by the NIC driver. I fear I do not
understand what your problem is from the description - you say that the
lights in the system tray do not blink but the status report on the NIC
properties display shows packets being sent?
