Since I by mistaken run MSN Explorer that comes with my computer, my
IE start acting very strangely. I've attempted to fix the register by
both "reset web settings" and using WinSockFix but no help. There is
no spyware in the system as checked. Here are the problems ...

1. It's should still be the default browser as reported under tools.
However, all htm extension file in Windows explorer changed to a dos
prompt (not the e-icon). Clicking on it will bring up Netscape 7.1,
which is another browser installed but is NOT the default browser. When
I tried to set the file type again under Windows explorer, it don't
have IE defined. If I browser and selected IE, it still not show up
for selection.

2. For a few internet related icon (such as BB Tray), while I click on
it without IE opened, it will not popup anything (not even Netscape).
If IE is open, it will popup the page on IE.

3. The status bar cannot be set. Everything when I open up IE, there
is no status bar. I can click on the menu item to select it and it
works. However, this setting will be lost when I close IE.

Anyone know what happen to my IE? How can I fix it?

Thanks,
Bosco.

Just to add more information, I've tried to reinstall IE, but the
setup file reported newer version has been installed. Can't do it.
