stationery - viewing images

Have just done full reinstall of XP
Using Outlook 6
Previously when selecting stationery I could see the
actual images in the drop down menu when I clicked on
thumbnails.
Now all I see is the "E" icon for HTML image and it
doesnt display any of the JPEG or GIF images at all.
How do I get this functionality back
Any help greatly appreciated
