hi help please
whenever i start my computer my icons come up and my theme, then after about
2mins my computer comes up,and it takes a while before i can shut it down to
begin work.i am running xp home with sp2.when i do shut it down all the icons
flash then come back on again. any ideas.

Shut what down? If you shut down your computer it turns off.
If you mean that Windows Explorer comes up showing My Computer then:
Go to Kelly's site, click on M and scroll down to My Computer opens on boot:
