I just moved from W98 to XP Pro. Some difference!

Can someone tell me how to set a program to start upon boot? Said
otherwise, how to you get it listed in MSCONFIG?

Hello,

You can place the shortcut of the program in the Startup Folder.

Start > All Programs > Startup (double-click to open this folder)

Any shortcuts in the Startup folder will be run when the user logs on.

Create or copy a shortcut to the Desktop, drag it to the Start Menu's
Startup folder. Hover over the Start button till the Menu opens,
continue to hover your way to the folder and drop it there.

I see that others have already told you how to put a shortcut to it into the
startup folder. I just wanted to add that this is really not any different
from Windows 98, where it worked the same way.

Thanks. This is the first time I've ever wanted to run something at
startup. I didn't even know there was a startup folder - XP or 98.
