I purchased a used computer with Win2000.. I gave to my
daughter who changed the passwords, cannot remember what
she changed to and after many attempts, cannot log on..
How do I help her to log on so I can become the
administrator to prevent this from happening in the future

thanks for your help

Let me paraphrase your question: I purchased a used car
and gave it to my son, who mislaid the keys and cannot
remember where he put them. How can I prevent this from
happening in the future?" The obvious answer is: Make
more keys BEFORE your son loses his only key. Each
Win2000 machine should have at least two admin accounts,
with the passwords locked away. So, after following dcdon's
suggestion, start planning ahead.
