Startup user name

Barney Wolfson

When I turn on or reboot my PC, I get a message "not able
to log you on"
The user name BARNEY WOLFSON comes up and then I need to
change it to
BARNEY W for it to work.
Where do I tell it that it should be BARNEY W.
