STARTUP TIME SUCKS on MS Business Contacts Manager DB!

Unless the 3 minute startup time it takes to connect to the SQL Server db is
reduced, I will remove the tool. It has some features I really want to use,
but on a notebook with all the starting and stopping several times a day,
it's connection time really makes it virtually unusable, especially since
Outlook is frozen the whole time. I haven't even entered any records yet
either!

1.8G Core Duo, 2G RAM, 120G HD. I use 15 "archives" (data files) to store
the email library that are also opened in addition to 2 additional users. I
suspect that this is an issue with either the SQL Server opening these files
and/or getting fresh credentials through a regular network connection from
the DC, though syslog shows a time master connection err when not connected
to the domain, and this may be part of the delay. I generally am using HTTP
connection to the Exchange Server, except when in the office. When using a
VPN or wired connection, startup time is reduced to about 45 sec, which is
much more usable.

Probably has something to do with it. I'm running a stand alone version with
only one user on the same machine so my comparision is not a valid one.
Hopefully someone with a similar configuration can give you some feedback.
