Startup slow at "Preparing network connections"

Hi,

I recently installed a bluetooth keyboard and mouse onto my win2000sp4
computer. Because of this, my computer always hangs at "preparing
network connections", adding about 2-3 min to the whole boot sequence.
The computer works fine, but it's just annoying. What could I do?

Check to see if the BT has added a bluetooth netowrk adaptor and if so
disable it
 
Thanks for the reply. The BT did indeed install a network adapter, but
unfortunately nothing improves when I disable it.
