Startup Problems

I'm having intermittent issues with windows starting up, keep getting the
screen Windows did not start successfully. then sometimes while starting up
it would random reboot.
Is there some sort of logging software I can use to see if it is a driver or
file issue that's causing my problems?
I've use bootlog XP and that gives me a txt file to look through, but not
sure what I am looking for and it is also thrown in a LogFile.Etl of 147MB
in c:\

cheers

Hi Clayton,

Have you tried booting from your windows XP cdrom and repairing your system?
If you can enter your system via safemode you could do a chkdsk from the
command prompt?

let me know if that helped ;)

I've already formatted and reinstall XP twice so far and it is still doing
it on a regular basis
it's boots into windows just fine but sometimes it takes a few attempts to
get there
