Leroy,

Don't panic! Open your database while holding down the Shift key. This will
prevent any startup code from running, as well as override startup
setings... so it will all be there! Just go back and restore the settings.

Nikos

You don't say that you also disabled built-in shortcut keys. So, lets use
the immediate window. Press Ctrl+G and in the immediate window type

RunCommand acCmdStartupProperties

then press Enter. This should open the dialog for you.

Thanks for your speedy response. However, i am still unable to open my toolbars. My situation is further hampered by the fact that i set-up my a password as the admin before access could be allowed into my database.Could this be responsible for the problem?
I hold down the shift key and still not response.
PLEASE which is the Shift KEY on my console?

Nikos

If you put security on the database, you'll need to login as someone with
Administrative permissions. As far as the Shift key goes, it usually says
Shift on it on a US keyboard. It is the key used to momentarily cause the
letter keys to print Upper Case letters or to get to the symbols above the
number keys.
