Hello everyone,
When XPe boots up theres a XPe startup logo comes , Is
there a way i can remove that logo and put in my logo. I
have a bitmap file which i want to put in as the startup
logo.
Another question I have is If i turn down my XPe system
directly from the power supply, is there anything i have
to worry about or wll just work fine. Will it cause ay
harm to the applkications running.
Thanks in advance.
Vinay Kant.

This is FAQ.
You can disable XPE Logo from boot.ini, it is illegal to change logo.

This is also FAQ.

If you use RAM EWF you don't have to worry since OS can't write anything to
protected partitions.

Use google to search for those questions in this NG.

Hi Chris,

Technically it can be done easily.

Is it legal? It is not.
I know that I would not be happy if someone hacked and changed logo of our
company from our software.

Since many people ask for this option, maybe MS should modify some future
kernel to allow embedded systems to have picture outside kernel that could
be loaded.
But this is their decision in any way.

Best regards,

Slobodan,
Branding questions like this are being taken into account for future
releases of Windows Embedded. A lot of people have requested the same thing
and your constructive feedback is being taken into consideration, please
keep it coming!

Thank you
