I can't seem to remeber how I setup my winxp to
automaticly use one users setting with without clicking
or type user name and password. It just automaticaly
uses my settings. Now my friend wants his computer to do
the same thing, but I don't remember what I did? Thanx
for the help.

Go to Start, Run and type "control userpasswords2" (without the quotes). Now
uncheck the box where it says "Users must enter a user name and password to
use this computer" and click Apply. A box will come up asking for a user
name and password. This will be the account that is logged onto
automatically. There are other ways to get to these settings but this is how
I do it. :)

Hi,

1. Go to Start/Run and type in: control userpasswords2 and press ok.

2. On the Users tab, clear the Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To
Use This Computer check box and then click OK.

3. In the Automatically Log On dialog box that appears, type the user name
and password for the account you want to be logged on each time you start
your computer.

Add Control UserPasswords2 to the Control Panel (Line 1)

Hi,

You must have installed Tweak UI (part of the power toys)
from microsoft web site and then entered teh default user
name and pwd to be used for automatically logging.
