Hi,
Is there a way to stop XP from attempting to install a program each time it
starts up? The program installation was initially aborted part way through,
and is no longer available for me to install, but I still get prompted to
complete installation each time I start the computer. Is there an
installation directory or file that I can change to stop this?
Cheers, Tim.

Timmy, go to Start>Run type: msconfig click Ok and select Startup
Tab. Uncheck the program entry if there.
You can also check in C:\Program Files. If the programs folder is
there delete it. Finally, go back to Start>Run
type: regedit click Ok. Navigate to Hkey_Local_Machine\Software.
If program folder is there delete it. Same
with Hkey_Current_User\Software.

Download and run this program. If you see the problem program
listed you may be able to remove the configuration files.

You might want to delete the contents of any Temp folders on
your computer as well.

Good luck
