I have a problem when I startup my Windows 2000 computer. For some
reason, an image that I viewed on a webpage long ago now pops up for
moments (let's say 10 seconds) as my background image. When the
computer completely loads, the background is fine and everything is
normal. Is there any way to change this or get it to somehow stop doing
such a thing?

I felt like Active Desktop had something to do with it, but I turned
that off and it still seems to act up.

Any suggestions?

Try this:

Turn OFF the Active Desktop, Change Wallpaper to NONE, Apply, then turn ON the
Active Desktop.

Select the Wallpaper of your choice again.

You can toggle the Active Desktop ON and OFF as follows:
Right-click a blank area on the desktop, point to Active Desktop, and then click
Show Web Content to enable or disable this feature. A check mark next to the
text indicates that the Active Desktop is enabled.
