Hi, my Windows Vista Home Premium fails to start when I turn on my pc after
shut down. Startup Repair window appears and I did that for 2-3 times and
once i did system restore during that process. Most recent changes to my pc
were installing Norton Internet Security, installing a Web Camera and adding
1gb of RAM. I really don't know what to do, and I don't think it's good that
Startup Repair runs every time i start my pc from shut down mode.
If anyone has any suggestion, please help.

Thanks.

Try removing the RAM and try booting and see if that works. A lot of times,
bad RAM or mis-configured RAM can cause the OS to not boot properly.

Had same problem with Vista Basic twice. 1st time, unplugging my Ipod got it
going. New Year's Day - same problem. Startup Repair and System Recovery both
failed. Emachine tech talked me thru Windows Reinstall (with Backup) from the
Vista Recovery Partition. Got Vista back up, and don't think I lost any data,
but Program Files have to be downloaded and reinstalled from scratch
(Registry issues). If you were running for a while after HW changes, this
might be your only option. Good Luck!
