Hi Iam using XP home,

When I switch on computer it loads up as normal until it
gets to the login screen and where it says to click your
username to log on, there are no usernames.

I have had this computer for a year and I only have 1 user
created on it so it usually loads straight to the desktop
without having to log on anyway.

I would like to know if anyone knows how to get round this
without me having to reinstall the op system and losing
all my work?

Thanks

At the logon screen hit ctrl-alt-del twice.

or

i knew about that ctrl, alt, delete, but when I enter the
username and password it doesn't do anything. I cant even
get to the desktop so I cant download things to fix it!

My last post offered no help then?
Boot into Safe mode
You need to hit F8 during boot, just after the BIOS info switches to black
screen. Then apply the patch attachment if you can.
