Startup Error

For the past few weeks, every time I restart my system I have been getting
an error message:

"Remote Microsoft" then a bunch of garbled characters like Greek letters.

I close the message and everything seems to run normally but there is this
nagging worry that there's something wrong. Can anyone give me a hint about
what's causing the error?
