My computer has given me trouble in the past and just got back from being
fixed. The original problems were still there and I was told to reinstall
windows. I upgraded to vista (after a complete hard drive wipe), and now I
have to restart about two or three times every time it powers up. Once it is
running it has jumps in ram use. It idles around 10% but jumps to 95% when I
run updates. The original problem that I was told was fixed was faulty RAM.
I have 1gig or it at the moment, but more on order. Any ideas on what
hardware would cause this. or is it software that I need to fix? Thanks.

Tell us where it stops in the start up/boot sequence..........this could be
a PSU problem where the power supply does not have enough juice to start all
hardware the 1st time......
