I disabled ... XP START.WAV, WIN XP START.WAV, WIN SHUTDOWN.WAV, WIN XP
LOGOFF.WAV, and still get the START.WAV when I boot up, and
SHUTDOWN.WAV, when I shut down my computer.

I don't want Windows XP noise on my computer. What do I do to keep
Start and Shutdown from playing?

Looked in CP/Sounds, did not see way to turn off all Window sounds,
like I did with win98.

Thanks

Ben

Ben -

Easy as 98.

Start, Control Panel, Switch to Classic View, Sounds and
Audio Devices, Sounds Tab, Highlight Exit Windows and
below where it lists the Sounds: drop down the menu and
select None (all the way at the top). Same for Start
Windows.

Just tested and this works.
