How can I change my toolbar from being standing straight up and down I want
it to go back the way it looked when I got my computer. Can anyone help?
I'm new at this computer stuff. Thank you.

I'm just guessing here, but it sounds like you may be referring to the
Taskbar, the one with the Start button. If so, click and hold on a blank area
of the Taskbar and drag it down to the bottom of your screen where it return
to the horizontal position. Hopes this help.

Do you mean the Task Bar? The bar that's normally at the bottom of the
screen, with "Start" at the left and the clock at the right?

Although by default the task bar appears on the bottom of the screen,
it can be on any of the sides you prefer it on. To move it from any
side to another, simply click on an unused part of it and drag it
where you want it. Be sure to click *within* it, not on the edge;
clicking on the edge and dragging will resize it.

If it won't move, it may be locked. In that case, right click on it
and uncheck "Lock the taskbar," then try again.

It won't move for any thing I've tried doing exactly how you explained and it
won't move the Lock and unlock is not even checked and I've tried doing again
by dragging the task bar down and it won't move

You may not be grabbing the right portion of the taskbar. It must be an empty area,
not occupied by a taskbar button or toolbar, and there must be no check-mark in the
Lock the Taskbar context menu entry.

Yes, and I have tried doing exactly what you have explained and it still
won't move

Try grabbing it by the handle (the bar at the top) and dragging it.
