Has anyone heard of Startium? I have this startium
toolbar on the screen when I open IE. I have the toolbar
remover from Kelly's page. It doesn't get rid of this
one. Any help? Thanks.

Actually there is a simpler way to get rid of this annoying tool bar. Do a
search for the following files:

stlbdist.dll
stlbupdt.dll
stlbad.dll

When you find one or all of these files, rename them to something else like
stlbdist.old. Make sure IE is not running when you do this. Once you do
this, restart IE and the tool bar will be gone. I tried that Cwshredder
program but it didn't work. I know this works.

A search at www.google.com for Startium will give you more results.

Doug, pass this on. I found a cure to my problem. This
is the original website:
http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/BrowserAid.html. My
solution came a ways down the page. The following is
what it said to do which worked perfectly for me:
StlbDist
Open the registry (click 'Start', choose 'Run' and
enter 'regedit'), and find the key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersi
on\Run. Delete the '{2CF0B992-5EEB-4143-99C0-
5297EF71F444}' entry.

Open a DOS command prompt window (from Start->Programs-
Accessories) and enter:

cd "%WinDir%\System"
regsvr32 /u stlbdist.dll
Restart the machine and you should be able to delete the
files stlbdist.dll and stlbdist.xml in the System folder
(which is inside the Windows folder, and
called 'System32' under Windows NT, 2000 and XP).

Take care,
