hi
i will try and give as much info as i can,i am not great at PCs ,i just mess about .I have an emachine XP windows160GB,515processor,512MB dual channel memory and its about 1 year old i use it all the time when i can get it to start as well as 3 other users in the house
OK when i start the PC i punch in the p/word and then it does its thing ,it seems to be going full blast with all fans running very high
The screen will look a blue screen with all the icons (internet explorer, etc) and just like your normal PC ready to kick off but you have this very high fan sound and the only thing i am waiting for to come on the screen now is the timer clock at bottom right hand corner and the start bar at the bottom left corner this is were the problem seems to be it will take for ages for them to appear if they do,After waiting a long time listening to the roar off the fan i knock it off again and try again ,it may start up all right after a few trys
i was advised to go through the safe mode and go into system restorer but this was ok just for 1 or 2 days now its back to normal not starting up properly
i hope there is someone out there who can help me solve this problem
it is fustrating

Hello Flash16! Welcome to PCReview!

Can you please go to Start>Run> and type 'eventvwr'
This will load your Windows Event Viewer.
Can you then Right-click on 'Application' on the left hand side and select 'Save Log File As'
Remember where you have saved this to.

Repeat the same as above for the 'System' folder - Right-click and select 'Save Log File As'
These files might be quite large - if so, can you please zip them up?

Email them to me at (e-mail address removed) and I'll see what's going on!

Thanks
Kev

hi again
thanks for your help but as i say i am not too familar with all this PC talk ,but how do i put them into a zip folder

You should just right clik on the folder or file where you have saved it and you should get an option that says "add to ZIP".
You can only do this if you have Zip central or winzip install on your computer.
you can save that zip folder to your desktop or anywhere you can find later.
attach it on e-mail and send it to our friend absolutekevster.
