Starting OutlookExpress or Explorer6

I have an icon down on my bottom bar to the left next to the start button.
When I click to start IE or OutlookExpress it will take from 30 seconds to
maybe two minutes to start to bring them up on the screen. I don't hear my
hard drive trying to work or anything. Once it opens everything seems to
work fine.
I have several shortcuts next to these icons on my bottom bar and on my
desktop and when I click on them it will start to take me to these site
immediately.
Any ideals? Thanks

Ron, I am running McAfee and could have done what they say, but I am running
Windows XP. Thanks

I done a serch for the file Imagehlp.dll and found two. One in
C:\Windows\System32 and one in C:\Windows\ServicepackFiles\i386
They were both modified 8/4/2004
Thanks

Leave them alone.

Maybe I should add that I am running Windows XP. Thanks

Don't store messages in the default OE folders. Move them to folders that
you created as soon as possible.

Compact your folders regularly while working offline.

I only have 5 messages in my OE folder and my wife doesn't have any. I store
my messages I want to keep in a subfolder I made.
I did what the first message said about removing the two files of Messenger
from my HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT files. Didn't seem to help.
I'm thinking back now and also several months ago my computer started to act
like this, when I move my mouse to stop my screensaver it takes a long time
for that to act too.

You still haven't said if you have compacted your folders. You seem to want
to avoid this for some reason. Also run a Defrag.
