A setting in your registry was probably overwritten so that the program does
not "register" that you have it already installed. I had this issue with a
new installation of Windows 2000 at work (local user only there, no admin
rights) and Project 2000 would constantly ask to install.
There is a key that needs to be added manually to the registry to stop this
from happening. Unfortunately, it is Sunday and I do not have access to my
office machine where I documented the fix.
