Starting Outlook Issues

I have a user here who had a 2gb pst file. I used the
truncate tool to get it down a bit and then split it up
into 2 pst files, each containing about 1gb of e-mail so
that she wouldn't be over the limit and could continue to
use her outlook. Now, everytime she opens Outlook, it
takes approximately 15 minutes to open, and it freezes
quite a bit. I first read about the multiple pst file idea
on microsoft.com, so I assumed it would work, but now I'm
not sure if that's what is causing the problem or not. Any
ideas?

Also... does anybody have any other good solutions to
bypassing the 2gb pst file limit? Sorry, delete more e-
mail isn't an option, unfortunately.

Thought the "limit" is 2gb I have seen issue arise slowness or no response.
I have users that I work with keep there pst files no larger then 800mb. I
have not seen nearly the number of issues I had in the past. I also
reviewed the usage of pst files. I discovered the need for a Document
Manager tool such as Echange or SharePoint to share documents instead of
email attachments back and forth.

As for bypassing the 2gb limit. Exchange 2003 with Outlook 2003 allows you
to have a pst up to 33TB. Outlook 2003 allows you to administer the sizes
of both old and new pst using Group Policy
