starting excel

I found excel to be very easy to use so far. I have just
started project one and I feel that the book is very easy
to follow. I do not think this website corresponds with
the book at all though! I did all of project 1 with no
problems or complications but, when I started this website
assignment it was very difficult and it asked information
that was not important. Instead of asking the basic
questions about how to use excel it asked very specific
questions from the text, and most of the information they
asked about is not necessary to know when using excel!

No idea what website, project or book you are referring to.

Please provide more detail.

BTW, the people who answer questions in this News Group are volunteers and not
employees of Microsoft.

You know this for a fact obviously :-)

One thing I learned very early on is that no matter how much I think I *do*
know, there is always a hell of a lot more I *don't* know, and as such I really
do try to avoid sweeping statements such as those.
