starting and stopping a program in active directory

I have an ftp program that I would like to run only during
specific hours of the day. Can I set up active directory
to log this program on and off as a service during those
times? And how can I accomplish this.

I don't know that AD can help you with this. You can
enforce logon hours on individual user accounts using
Active Directory Users and Computers, but I don't think
this will help with an FTP program.

It sounds like the task scheduler would be the best thing.
