Everything was completely redone. I did the instructions to the letter.

It is all uploading right now and the new links are these.

My playsound.htm file shows the link for my .wav as being on the main public

I hope this works when it is uploaded...someone please let me know. I can't
stand to try it out.

Hi,

It finally loaded. One slide with an eventual image of a very attractive
princess. With text down both sides. But that is all. Only one slide.

I looked at it and there is a missing file called:

http://www.mwcmustangs.com/prom.htm

Anyway, is that what you were after? I got to go to bed, btw. Sorry.

I went back through your messages. You did not explain which steps you followed

your using. As publishing to html and getting them up to full screen differs for

The 4th message of this thread shows what version of PowerPoint I am using.
Ver 9.0.3821.

I followed the link you gave me, and read on until I found this link.
http://www.powerpointanswers.com/article1018.html

This link covers how to play sound files on a html presentation. I think the
presentation (html) that you refer to is for PowerPoint 2002.

Okay, so I went back and looked at the html presentation the one guy made. I
edited the fullscreen.htm and added the line of code:

<BGSOUND src=“Love Is Blue.wma"loop=infinite >

I changed the code to read inyoureyes.wav since that is my song file.

Now, I also change the code in the frame.htm as per the instructions. The
page loads to the size I want now...and the fullscreen.htm loads...

Neither has sound. The .wav file is in the same folder as everything else,
like it says to do.

The only thing I see, is that your made the change in fullscreen.html, and

if you do. If you have both files, then put it into fullscreen.html. if you only

Hello,

If you (or anyone else reading this message) have suggestions for how to
make this easier to do in PowerPoint, don't forget to send your feedback
(in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

It's VERY important that, for EACH wish, you describe in detail, WHY it is
important TO YOU that your product suggestion be implemented. A good wish
submssion includes WHAT scenario, work-flow, or end-result is blocked by
not having a specific feature, HOW MUCH time and effort ($$$) is spent
working around a specific limitation of the current product, etc. Remember
that Microsoft receives THOUSANDS of product suggestions every day and we
read each one but, in any given product development cycle, there are ONLY
sufficient resources to address the ones that are MOST IMPORTANT to our
customers so take the extra time to state your case as CLEARLY and
COMPLETELY as possible so that we can FEEL YOUR PAIN.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).

Quite possible. You might want to convert it to a WMA or MP3 file, which will
dramatically reduce the file size. You also might want to remove the 4 black
slides from your presentation before you publish. Unless you have them there for
a reason. If you want to post a link to the wav file, I would not mind grabbing
it and seeing if that in fact is the problem.

Screw it, I give up. It doesn't work

Don Manning

Everything was completely redone. I did the instructions
to
the
letter.

It is all uploading right now and the new links are these.

www.mwcmustangs.com/Presentation1.htm

My playsound.htm file shows the link for my .wav as being
on
the
main
public
folder...where the .wav is at right now.

I hope this works when it is uploaded...someone please let me
know.
I
can't
stand to try it out.

Bingo....I think you just hit it. The .wav file is 54meg. That would
probably prevent it from opening up huh?

Don;

The only thing I see, is that your made the change in fullscreen.html, and
frame.html There is not need to put it in both. I don't know how it will react
if you do. If you have both files, then put it into fullscreen.html. if you only
have the frame.html, then put it in there. How big is your wav file?

The 4th message of this thread shows what version of PowerPoint I am using.
Ver 9.0.3821.

I followed the link you gave me, and read on until I found this link.
http://www.powerpointanswers.com/article1018.html

This link covers how to play sound files on a html presentation. I think the
presentation (html) that you refer to is for PowerPoint 2002.

Okay, so I went back and looked at the html presentation the one guy
made.
I
edited the fullscreen.htm and added the line of code:

<BGSOUND src="Love Is Blue.wma"loop=infinite >

I went back through your messages. You did not explain which steps you followed
from which suggestion. You also have not mentioned which version of PowerPoint
your using. As publishing to html and getting them up to full screen differs for
each version. did you visit the online pptohtml tutorial I posted in
my
original
reply to you? It opens full screen, and has both background music and
voiceovers.

Yeah, and in the other post, I stated that I had followed those instructions
to the letter and still was not having any luck. That was why I was giving
up.

It is on there now...but I am so lost it is ridiculous.

Don Manning

Hi,

It finally loaded. One slide with an eventual image of a very attractive
princess. With text down both sides. But that is all. Only one slide.

I looked at it and there is a missing file called:

Anyway, is that what you were after? I got to go to bed, btw. Sorry.

That didn't work either. Mp3 does not play.

I will upload the mp3 file now and try it.

Don Manning

Michael Koerner said:
Quite possible. You might want to convert it to a WMA or MP3 file, which will
dramatically reduce the file size. You also might want to remove the 4 black
slides from your presentation before you publish. Unless you have them there for
a reason. If you want to post a link to the wav file, I would not mind grabbing
it and seeing if that in fact is the problem.
