I bought a new computer with windows XP on it. Every time I start my computer a program of some type changes my Internet Explorer homepage (to myhandysearch.com) and puts a pile of bookmarks into my computer. I delete them and reset my homepage, but the next time I start my computer it resets to that crap. I cannot find where the start up programs are listed (like they were in Windows 98) or how to turn this off. I also cannot find any reference to the page if I do a search of all files on my computer (looking for my, handy, search, myhandysearch, and all other possible variations). Also Norton Anti-Virus does not detect it as a virus

Any help would really be appreciated

This is spyware. Go to www.lavasoftusa.com and download and install Ad Aware
6. It is free and will rid your computer of spyware. Also you may want to
push Start, Run, type in "msconfig" (without quotes) and click the Startup
tab. Uncheck any reference to myhandysearch to keep it from loading. When
you reboot you will see a message about changed startup, just check the box
to not show the message again.
