Recently I downloaded the latest version of AOL's instant messenger. Now
whenever I turn on my computer a large AIM box obscures about 1/3 of my
screen. I can't find an AIM option to stop that from happening; I assume
there is a WindowsXP option somewhere. But where?

if you have amin rights try clicking Start/ run and type msconfig.exe and
click the startup tab, you can select the problem startup programme there and
deselect it

Open AIM - Click on AIM in menu bar - Click on Settings - Click on Sign
in/Sign Out - Clear box Start AIM when Windows starts
