I've 'lost' a very good start-up application!! The software works as a
browser and list all start-up files from A to Z allowing you to check
your system. Does anyone in the NG know this software and where I can
download it?

Why not go to Run and type in msconfig?

In a previous thread was recommended the StartupRun utility, maybe it is
what you're looking for:

Part 2
(hit post button by mistake)

In addition to Startup List, AutoRuns, and aida32 (in part 1),
Autostart Explorer and Startup Control Panel (StartupCPL, mlin.net)
are my best guesses.

Description:
Autostart Explorer is a powerful application that lists all
autostarted files on your system. Unlike other similar utilities,
which may list autostarted files from only certain locations such as
the registry Run keys, Autostart Explorer has been designed to show
every autostarted file on your system, no matter how obscure the
location it is started from.

Part 3
(Blush)

Spybot was running in the background while I was writing Parts 1 and
2. Don't know why I didn't think of it. Look under TOOLS. I don't
think it is as complete as Startup List, AutoRuns, etc.

I also should have mentioned that Startup List is included in Hijack
This (HijackThis?).

(I promise. No Part 4. Really.)

Thanks, I saw that page yesterday, but (Netscape 4.79 or IE 5.01) the
links lead to basically "file not found" for the no-install version.

Anyone have a direct link that works?
