Good day all!
I have several external programs that start up when I log on. (e.g. Net
Nanny, XP Pop-Up Blocker, MSN Messenger, and a few more). My question is
this. How do I remove them from starting up automatically and can they be a
source of my system running slow upon boot-up?

Thanx

Paul

Open each of those programs and examine their settings menus for options
that control startup behavior. Make the desired changes in these menus.

If no luck, use Start> Run> MSCONFIG
On the startup page of this tool, uncheck the boxes for the programs that
you do not want running at startup.
